Why This Website Exists

The default mod_remoteip module shipped with Apache does not support forwarding the original protocol (HTTP/HTTPS) via headers like X-Forwarded-Proto. This modified version adds support for passing the HTTPS status—essential in setups with load balancers or reverse proxies.

This site provides precompiled binaries, patch diffs, and the modified source code for current Apache versions.
